Monitoring-based commissioning is a program that uses building automation system data, fault detection, a M&V process and retro-commissioning services to drive a continuous energy improvement strategy. Monitoring-based commissioning acts as a virtual energy manager, which frees up your personnel and allows them to focus on solving issues.
Using the Balance technology, EEI is able to deliver extensive and permanent energy-monitoring capabilities and facility-specific custom analytics tools. As a result, ongoing commissioning can be expanded into monitoring-based commissioning to automatically perform real time energy analysis to achieve a higher level of performance, and maintain that performance, with no degradation over time.
If desired, both monitoring-based commissioning and ongoing commissioning programs can include the features necessary to satisfy LEED v4, including existing Building Commissioning, Ongoing Commissioning, Optimizing Energy Performance and Advanced Energy Metering.
