North Concourse & CONRAC Garage
San Jose, California
San Jose's Terminal Zone Development Program is a three-phased plan within the overall Airport Improvement Program specifically focused on major terminal improvements to enhance the passenger experience. The first phase of the Terminal Zone Development Program was the construction of the North Concourse, which connects existing Terminals A and C.
EEI was hired as the Commissioning Authority of this facility, working directly with the City. Our scope of work included document review, construction monitoring and the testing of building systems. The City is pursuing a U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) LEED Silver rating for the project.
EEI was also hired to commission the new 7-story, 1.3 million-SF consolidated rental car facility parking garage which includes public parking and a car rental facility, complete with car wash, service bays and fueling bays. The roof of the parking garage is covered with 2.3 acres of solar panels, also commissioned by EEI.
